Aligned with a community of best-in-class OEMs, Control Station provides a suite of process analytic and optimization solutions that integrate seamlessly with an end-user’s existing automation infrastructure and that make continuous performance improvement easy.
Control Station partners with an innovative and global network of system integrators that are proven in the design, delivery, and support of process automation and optimization solutions and fully certified in the company’s technology-based offerings.
Control Station, founded in 1988 by Dr. Douglas Cooper on the University of Connecticut campus, pioneered process simulation tools and created the first simulation-based curriculum for the study of process dynamics and control theory. This innovation provided an interactive and far more intuitive learning experience for Chemical Engineering candidates. Over the decades, this software-based training and skills development solution has been adopted by hundreds of colleges and universities worldwide, becoming a key resource for both academic and industrial training.
We’re leaders in process modeling and PID controller tuning, and we maintain an award-winning portfolio of user-friendly products. With our 2006 introduction of the Non-Steady-State (NSS) Modeling Innovation, we successfully eliminated the need to establish a steady state prior to performing testing. This singular innovation allows practitioners to consistently and accurately tune the noisy, oscillatory, and long Dead-Time systems that are typical in industrial applications.
More recently, we assumed the lead in process monitoring and analytics. We begin that journey in 2004 with our first real-time control loop assessment tool and then launched a comprehensive monitoring platform in 2009. From powerful forensic tools like TuneVue and advanced State-Based Analytics, we’ve set the pace for innovation. Today, Control Station helps leading process manufacturers to proactively identify performance issues and isolate root-causes on a plantwide basis at production facilities located on six continents.
With over thirty years of ingenuity and innovation, our technology-based solutions make it easy for process manufacturers to achieve their unique process optimization goals.
