Program Documents Process Improvements and Quantifies Financial Impact
Tolland, CT – June 27, 2013 Control Station formally introduced a technology evaluation program centered on the company’s PlantESP platform. The program enables participating manufacturers to validate PlantESP’s contribution to improved production performance and bottom-line profitability prior to commercial licensing.
PlantESP is a platform technology that actively monitors the performance of PID controllers and the health of production assets. The PlantESP Evaluation Program targets select process manufacturers for participation in a structured, onsite assessment of those capabilities. Engineering resources from Control Station assist participants over a ninety day period with the installation, configuration, and use of PlantESP. Extensive use of KPIs enables participants to document efficiency improvements and to quantify the platform’s financial impact.
Establishing a clear case for ROI is important, but actually delivering value is what today’s customers require, shared Rick Bontatibus, Control Station’s Vice President of Global Sales. ” This program equips customers with the financial data they need to justify an investment, and it showcases their commitment to partnering with us for mutual success.”
Control Station has engaged numerous companies in successful evaluations prior to today’s formal launch. Details from those engagements shaped the current program’s scope, duration, and cost, and they have positioned the program for success on a go-forward basis. Control Station limits the number of evaluations conducted at any given time in order to meet the expectations of participating manufacturers.
The PlantESP platform has expanded significantly since its initial introduction in 2010, and its breadth of capabilities are unique in the market. The platform’s Loop Performance Monitoring module actively evaluates a production facility’s PID controllers, notifying users of performance issues and recommending appropriate corrective actions. The Predictive Analytics module assesses asset health and alerts users of changes that could result in equipment failure and costly unplanned downtime. PlantESP has been deployed globally with implementations in core segments of the process industries, including Basic Materials, Chemicals, Oil and Gas, Pulp and Paper among others.
